Why Quote Retreat?

Welcome to my blog "Quotes Retreat"! Here I share daily inspiring quotes that can inspire you, give you strength, and enhance your resilience. At least, they have done so for me. Let's embark on this journey together!

About me...

My name is Sandor Friederich, and I was born in Switzerland in the 60s. I spent my childhood in a small city, which was my home. I completed a part of my primary school years there. It was during this time that I had my first extended stay in a child psychiatric department, where I was diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.

In short, "I am autistic!"

After my school years, I completed an apprenticeship as a chimney sweeper, which I successfully finished. In the following years, I had many different jobs. These diverse professional experiences taught me to work hard and face challenges with determination. However, they also made me aware of the challenges I face as an autistic person in this world!

Before and during my professional journey, I realized the need to regularly pause and focus on my own mental and emotional well-being. This was also influenced by two additional stays in psychiatric care. Early on in my life, I started using quotes. I recognized the transformative power of words and began applying them in my own life. Quotes give me strength, motivation, and enhance my resilience.

This led to the idea for the "Quotes Retreat" blog. Here, I want to share daily inspiring quotes from men and women from different sources, eras, and regions. Weekly motivational stories will also be part of the content.

My goal is to support you in reflecting on yourself, gaining new perspectives, and taking steps towards a fulfilled and motivated life.

Even in times of utmost despair, quotes have supported me and given me the strength to continue. They have been the light at the end of the tunnel and the individual star in the sky that I could still see despite all the darkness. I hope they can provide you with the same!

I invite you to regularly visit my blog and subscribe to my social channels.

Be inspired by my content, so that you can continue or even start your journey of personal development.

Together, we can bring out the best in ourselves and contribute to positive changes.

Or as Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948) once said:

"Be the change you want to see in the world."

Thank you for being a part of the "Quotes Retreat" blog!

Warm regards,

Sandor Friederich

P.S. Here's my absolute favorite quote:

"A heap of stones ceases to be a heap of stones when a single man contemplates it, bearing within him the image of a cathedral."

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900-1944),

Pilote de guerre / Flight to Arras
